Kay F. SIDE

Obituary from newspaper of Monday, 27 July 1998:  ALEXANDRIA BAY--Kay F. Diabo, 54, of 24151 Swan Hollow Road, died Sunday morning at her home.  She had been ill with cancer.

    Mrs. Diabo was a cook at Captain's Landing Restaurant until her retirement due to illness.

    Born June 5, 1944, at Alexandria Bay, daughter of John and Catherine Langlois Side, she graduated from Alexandria High School.

    She married John B. Diabo on June 17, 1967, in Clayton.

    Mrs. Diabo was a member of Alexandria Bay American Legion Post 941 Auxiliary.

    Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Douglas A., Alexandria Bay, and Eugene J., Wilton Manors, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Cheryl) Hunter, Hammond; two brothers, John Frederick Side, Newark, and George Side, Citrus Springs, Fla.,
and two grandchildren.

    The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Costello Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Driscoll officiating.  Burial will be in St. Cyril's Cemetery.

    Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
