Margaret GUSHLAW

Obituary (from newspaper of Friday, 4 Feb. 1983):  CHAUMONT---Mrs. Margaret G. Knight, 76, wife of David Knight, Chaumont, died Thursday afternoon in Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient about one month.

    The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Church with Rev. Edwin Kennedy, pastor, officiating.  Spring burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Town of Cape Vincent.

    Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Becker Funeral Home.  Donations may be made to Three Mile Bay Ambulance Fund.

    Surviving besides her husband are a son, Richard, Chaumont; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William (Irene) Weller, Clayton, and nieces and nephews.

   Three brothers, George, Joseph, and Arthur Gushlaw, died before her.

    Born April 17, 1906 at Bangor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gushlaw, she attended schools there and was married to David Knight Dec. 24, 1927 at Clayton.

    They operated a farm on Three Mile Point for 30 years before coming to Chaumont.
