Winnie GARNSEY

Obituary (from newspaper of Friday, 23 Nov. 1984):  CLAYTON---The funeral for Mrs. Winnie G. Lindsey, 78, Emery Ave., wife of Donald L. Lindsey, who died Tuesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient since
Nov. 7, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Austin, pastor of the Clayton Methodist Church, officiating.

    Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.

    There will be no calling hours.  Donations in her name may be made to the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Fund.

    Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs.  Rosemary Rogers, Alexandria Bay; a granddaughter, Mrs. Geoffrey Cranda Burghardt, Watertown; and two great-grandsons, Geoffrey C. and Robert W. Burghardt, Watertown.

    Born June 28, 1906, on Grindstone Island, she attended schools in Clayton and Michigan.  She married Donald L. LIndsey of Brownville on Oct. 11, 1952 in Melrose, Pa.

    Mrs. Lindsey worked at the Clayton Manufacturing Company for many years.  She served as acting secretary and treasurer until her retirement in 1971.

    She was previously married to S. Lawrence Pelow of Clayton.
