Mildred E. MILLER

Obituary (from newspaper of 22 Feb. 1965):  CLAYTON---Mrs. Mildred E. Bamford, 73, widow of Laurel A. Bamford, died this morning at 9:30, at her home.  Mrs. Bamford had suffered a stroke in December and had been a patient in the House of the
Good Samaritan, Watertown, in January.

    The funeral will be Wednesday at 8:30 at the Cummings Funeral Home, and at 9 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, with Rev. Leon Wiley, assistant pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in the spring.

    Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Helen) Walters, Clayton; four sisters, Mrs. Peter (Georgia) Guliani, Watertown, Mrs. Alton (Mabel) Valley, Cape Vincent, Mrs. John (Pauline) Keehfus, Watertown, and Miss Walton Miller, Clayton; a
granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren.

    Mrs. Bamford was born on Grindstone Island, July 2, 1891, a daughter of George H. and Mary Ann Daniels Miller.  She was married to Laurel A. Bamford Jan. 13, 1913, in St. Mary's Church, Clayton.  The couple lived in Clayton all their
married lives.  Mr. Bamford, a mason, died April 9, 1947.

    Mrs. Bamford was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary's Church.
