Carol Ann BAZINET

Obituary (from Watertown Daily Times of 25 May 1983):  CLAYTON---Mrs. Carol Anne Daly, 45, of 731 Beecher St., died Tuesday morning at Edward John Noble Hospital, Alexandria Bay, after she was stricken at her home with a heart attack.

    The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Cummings Funeral Home here with Msgr. Herbert H. Hannan, pastor of St. Mary's Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

    Calling hours will be 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.  Donations may be made in her name to the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Fund or to Mooseheart, c/o The Loyal Order of Moose, Baldwinsville, 13027.

    She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Freda Bazinet, Clayton; two sons, Joseph Ringer, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Randall J. Daly, Greene; two daughters, Lauri Sue Daly and Lisa Maria Daly, at home; a brother, Edward L. Bazinet, Clayton; a
sister, Mrs. Betty Jane Willoughby, Clayton; a granddaughter, Katie Ringer, and a grandson, Joseph Ringer, Cincinnati.

    Born July 28, 1937 in Clayton, a daughter of Mrs. Freda Lumley Bazinet and the late Charles H. Bazinet, she was graduated from Clayton Central High School and attended Niagara Falls Business School.

    Her marriage to Patrick L. Daly in Charleston, S.C., in June 1956 ended in divorce.  She had been previously married.

     She was employed as a clerical worker for Anchor Motor Freight in Clayton.

    She was past president of the Clayton American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Loyal Order of Moose, Baldwinsville, and past president of the Belgium-Cold Springs Fire Department Auxiliary.

The 1850 Census, 5 Sep. Clayton tp., Jefferson Co., N.Y. dwelling #66 shows: Sanford Grandey, 59, lab., b. Vt.; Hannah 36 Can.; Thomas M. 9; John M. 7; Archibald F. 3; all b. N.Y.  Hannah's maiden name was Russell, from the Civil War pension
file of their son John M., who used the spelling Grandee, as did subsequent generations of this family.  Livonia is omitted here from Sanford's children because it can not be proved for certain that she was his child.
