Obituary (from newspaper of Saturday, 20 Oct. 1979):  CLAYTON---Mrs. Lulu Cummings, 94, of the Samaritan-Keep Home, formerly of Clayton, widow of Malcolm Cummings, died at 5:10 this morning at the Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown, where she had
resided since its opening.

    There will be a private funeral at the Cummings Funeral Home, Clayton, with Rev. Robert Nay, pastor, Clayton United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Town of Cape Vincent.

    There will be no calling hours.

    Donations may be made in her name to the Clayton Volunteer Ambulance Fund.

    She is survived by a son, Lyle Robinson, Clayton; two granddaughters; 17 step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; three step-sons, Robert Cummings, Houghton, Donald Cummings, San Bernardino, Calif., and Miles Cummings, Corfu; three
step-daughters, Mrs. Arlie Gorman, Clayton, Mrs. Marjorie Johnson, St. Lawrence Corners and Mrs. Beverly O'Kay, Chaumont.

    Born July 7, 1885, on Grindstone Island a daughter of George and Amorette Chase Garnsey, she married Albert Robinson in November 1910 in Clayton.  He died Jan. 6, 1958, at the age of 56.

    She married Malcolm Cummings Feb. 9, 1942.  Mr. Cummings, a retired plumber and tinsmith and a woodcarver, died Sept. 6, 1976, at the age of 89.

    She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Clayton United Methodist Church.
